I just had to write something regarding the current financial disaster the US is facing, and the joint proposal by the Treasury Department of the US government and the Federal Reserve Banks. It is just too distressing not to write my thoughts out somewhere. God knows I can't get anyone to actually listen to me in real life. All our well-beings are at stake and no one cares to talk about it. My faith in the citizenry waivers.

So the head of the government's department of money (Henry Paulson) and the head of the biggest bank in the universe (Ben Bernanke) are together in the Congress proposing that the American Tax Payer accept the burden of debt that was created by scandalously insane free-market bankers and financiers.

So some businesses get creative with the way they buy and sell our money and our FUTURE money that does not exist yet, and it blows up in their face. So now they have put the whole friggin world in doubt about supporting such businesses. Duh, right? As a result, these businesses can no longer borrow or lend money to ANYONE. They are threatened with going out of business, and so are all the little businesses that depend on the borrowing and lending these big guys did. In the "Real World" such a business would go "Out of Business" and the world would move on. But OHHHH, NO. Not when they've got friends in high places and when they are about to lose the insanely posh shirts off their backs.

Instead of letting these scoundrels pay for their mistakes and allowing the rest of the marketplace to fix the problem NATURALLY, the two "HEADS" of finance are actually proposing that the already broke-ass American Taxpayer take on the huge debt! We, The People, lend these untrustworthy schmucks MORE MONEY TO PLAY WITH! OUR TAX MONEY! And that's just the beginning.

They are proposing $700 Billion Bucks to START OFF WITH. Then the two "Heads" get to unilaterally and privately, without discosure to the lender (us, again), give as much more money to the bad guys as they "see fit" until the debt "crisis" is resolved. THAT's MADNESS!

The American National and Foreign Debt is about $8 Trillion dollars, not counting this money we are about to lend out. When this whole thing is over, we will be easily over $10 Trillion Dollars in debt to our banks and foreign banks and governments.

What does that mean to us? What's the difference with another $2 Trillion dollars?

How about the U.S. people living in the kind of poverty seen in India, and the U.S. Dollar's value (after more inflation) experiencing the devaluations experienced in Zimbabwe? Destitution. Crime. Poverty. Police-State. Indentured Servitude. Etc. Etc. Etc. THAT is what we face. THAT is the future we must imagine when we choose to make decisions such as has been put forth by the two "Heads" at the Congress.

Were we, as a nation, truly secure about our abilities as a people, as an industrious society, and as an icon of freedom for the rest of the world to aspire to, we would allow the markets to work as they will naturally. If banks go out of business, we will survive. If businesses have to change their model to prosper, we will survive. If we have to tighten our belts and individually get back to the drawing board to figure out HOW to be fruitful and mighty and economically productive, so be it, we will survive, and we will prosper!

If we, as a nation, are INSECURE about ourselves and our people, and if we do NOT believe in our abilities to be productive, and industrious, and capable of recovering from such criminal actions among the businesses in our midsts, then we truly DO DESERVE to be screwed royally by such proposals as tht put forth by the two "Heads" at Congress. We would be so insecure about ourselves that we would give our future money, our children's futures, to economic criminals (people who considered OUR money a toy to play with and experiment with, solely for their own desires to make more money for themselves, personally) who are trying to deceive us and scare us about the state of affairs of the country's economy and about our own social capabilities.

If there was ever a time when the U.S. Government needed to do its job of protecting the citizens, it is RIGHT NOW! In its Legislative duties of protecting the citizens by making protection laws, and the Executive duties of protecting the citizens by enforcing those laws. Terrorism has many faces. Economic Terrorism is one of them, and we are facing it right this moment. The only difference is that with bombs and military, we fight back. With the Economic Terrorists that have fleeced us and left us bewildered, we are PAYING THEM FOR IT WITH MORE MONEY.

It can not get any more insane than this. This government is losing my faith with such decisions. Why are our elected officials walking all over the Constitutional laws that are the bedrock of our country? Why are we becoming another European Oligarchy?
