The methods of the modern world require that all facets of our lives be broken down into their parts, and for those parts to be investigated under strict scrutiny and established scientific protocol and to be understood, so as to be potentially exploited. This aim of modernity serves two functions. One is that it breaks things down and attempts to explain everything scientifically, or pseudo-scientifically, such that we may base legislation around it and make legalities out of it for use and abuse. It is the second aim which feeds on this given premise that is the dangerous part. The second aim is that while those who conduct the scrutiny may have an understanding of the basis for the parcelization of all things in our lives, they keep it hidden, and the Nth level of detail to which we take the scrutiny of details helps to obfuscate the primary and malintentioned goal of using the final product to exploit the general population who is unaware of the lurking danger of such compartmentalization and subsequent obfuscation of the facts. It is wholly in the interest of the researching facility to keep the data unclear and the populace perpetually uninformed, so as to limit the opposition to such methodical increases in the complexity of modern living. The truth lies in that the system has been established such that the confusion feeds upon the confusion and the system in its entirety becomes a self-feeding vortex.
