Something that has been in the news recently has been driving me crazy. As much as I dislike the possibility of Iran developing nuclear weapons (which I do NOT believe they are doing, despite popular US news propaganda), the tactics of the US are offensive in dealing with Iran and Iranians. They get together with the Europeans, come up with a negotiation strategy, make things really good and nice and put a happy face on it, and then INTENTIONALLY, get that(?) INTENTIONALLY!!!... spin it in a way that it's doomed to fail. Right off the bat, they call it a "Carrot and Stick" strategy. IRAN is not a DONKEY! This is bloody offensive. It's as though they WANT Iran to reject this, as good as it may be. The Europeans would never do this. The Americans like a little insult to make things fail. It's like a Donkey being coerced by its master. The US is not a master in this case, but they would like to portray themselves as such and hence the "Carrot and Stick" crap. If the Iranian agree, they are seen as the donkeys being motivated by the carrot. If they reject it, they are "Terrorists", and "Defiant" and are prone to sanctions and attacks. Here is a message to the US Government: Be nice and things will go your way. Be rude and you will have the world angry with you. As darned simple as that.
